Yes, timing is vital. My wife called out at me to take a look at the sky and then I had to grab the kit and rush out to a suitable vantage point and just had enough time fro five frames before the sun burst out from behind the cloud. If I had been paying more attention I could have taken some frames whilst the sun was behind the thicker portion of cloud in the centre.
It is a beautiful place though we have a population greater than Australia on an island the size of Wales (and 2/3 mountains) so it is also quite lively! And the food is pretty good as well. Hope you’ll get a chance to visit in your job.
